Disclose

Disclose was a Japanese hardcore punk band heavily influenced by British punk band Discharge. They existed from 1992-2007. Disclose uses the infamous D-beat drumming style and are—sonically and lyrically—considerably one of the closest and most extreme adherents of the style. Their sound is very similar to that of Discharge, with an increased use of fuzz and distortion guitar effects. The subject matter is also similar to Discharge - the songs are primarily about nuclear war, and its horrific consequences. Members and former members include: Kawakami (vocals & lead guitar), Tsukasa (vocals), Fukugawa (bass guitar), Yasuoka (bass guitar), Yousei (bass guitar), Hiro (drums), Fujiwara (drums), Uo-Katou (drums), Aki (drums) & Naoto. Tragically, on June 5, 2007, Kawakami died in his apartment from an overdose of alcohol and sleep tablets, thus sadly spelling the end of Disclose.

Anti Cimex

Formed in 1981, the original line-up was: Jonsson - bass, Nillen - vocals, Charlie - drums and Jocke - guitar. After rehersing for a while, they released their first 7” single “Anarkist Attack”.

In 1982, Anti Cimex kicked out Nillen. Jonsson took over the vocals part and Conrad took over the bass playing. They also released a new 7” single later in the year called “Raped Ass”.

In 1983 they released another 7” single “Victims Of A Bombraid”.

In 1986, Anti Cimex released a mini-Lp (12”) called “Criminal Trap”. (This 12” is also included as a bonus on the “Absolut Country of Sweden” CD). At this time, Jocke had got tired of the band and they asked Cliff, if he wanted to join the band, but he said no and the rest of the band members got tired of the problems and it resulted in the band splitting up.

In 1990, Anti Cimex decided to start the band again after Cliff had agreed to join and they say, that it is thanks to him, that they regrouped. They released the comeback album “Absolut Country Of Sweden” the same year.

In 1993, Anti Cimex released a raw live album “Made In Sweden.” The show was also shot on video, but never released. They later released a new live 7” single “Fucked In Finland” and later on they released the album “Scandinavian Jawbreaker.” After the release of this album, the band split up and the members started in other bands, such as Driller Killer (Cliff) and Wolfpack (Jonsson).

In 2005, Dead City records released the “A Tribute To Anti-Cimex” LP, featuring a line up of d-beat and crust bands from all over the world, that were influenced by Anti Cimex. Notable bands, include Disclose (Japan), Wolfbrigade (Sweden), Ratos de Porão (Brazil) and Doom (UK).

Totalitär

Totalitär was formed sometime in 1985 - 1986 in a Swedish town called Hudiksvall. The band was Poffen-vocals, Jörgen-guitar, Jesper-drums, Andreas-bass and Lanchy-guitar.

After they had played together some time they released the 7-inch Ep “Multinationella Mördare” in April 1987. The Ep included 5 songs. They also released the Ep on their own. The Ep was a real great single and the music they played was crust. Punks all over Sweden loved the Ep and its still a classic EP.

Later they went in to the studio again to record another 7-inch Ep “Luftslott” in August 1987. The Ep was recorded in the same studio as “Multinationella…” that will say “Force-A studio”. The Ep “Luftslott” included 7 songs and was sold for £1.20. At this time more people got their eyes open for Totalitär and more listened to em.

In 1989 it was time to release another Ep called “Vänd dig inte om”. The Ep was recorden in 1989-02-09 at Folkan. The Ep was released by Finnrec. The Ep included 6 songs, and one of them was a cover by another band from Hudiksvall called Missbrukarna. The song was “Kristen resning”.

In 1991 they released a 7-inch Ep called “Snabb Livsglädje (demo 86)” wich included demo songs that was recorded in Forsa studion in 1986. Then for some years it went silece about the band. And some of em moved away from Hudiksvall.

But in 1994 they released their first full-leight Cd called “Sin egen motståndare”. This time the band had another line up. It was Poffen-vocals, Lanchy-guitar, Andreas-bass, Jallo-drums. The Cd was released on Finnrec. The critics loved this album, and some say it was the best punk album in 1994.

In 1995 they released a splitt Lp with “Dismachine” Totalitär had 8 songs on that Lp wich was released on the label Your own jailer. The critics loved this album as much as the Cd and called this the best punk album in 1995.

So then it was time for another album, and in 1997 they released the Cd “Ni måste bort” on the label Finnrec. They also re-released their first 7-inch Ep “Multinationella Mördare” on the label Crust Rec.
